I love this country and am thinking about her with love and tears and a heart felt desire to see her flousih and get back to her humble beginnings. In short, I am thankful. Thankful for her and what she has given me through our heavenly father's guidance.

God bless your Thanksgiving. May we never forget what she was built for, what she has endured and most importantly, for what purpose she has endured.

Praising Him through the storms! Thanksgiving part I

William Bradford was the Governor of Plimoth Colony and leader of the Mayflower voyage to the New world. The Mayflower arrived in Provincetown on November 11, 1620. Upon arrival on the land, the Pilgrims "fell upon their knees and blessed the God of Heaven who had ... delivered them from ...perils and miseries ..." The sole purpose for leaving England was for freedom of religion (and NOT freedom FROM religion).
The First Winter the Pilgrims spent in the New World was harsh to say the least. Not enough food and barely enough shelter. 47 of the 102 Pilgrims did not make it that first Winter or died on the voyage of things lke scurvy, pnuemonia. At one time only 7 Pilgrims were well enough to bury the dead which had to be done at night so Natives would not know the Pilgrims numbers were dwindling so much. In 1623, after being helped by Native "friends" Massosoit, Squanto..Governor Bradford and the Pilgrims and Natives held one of several Thanksgiving gatherings. Fortunately Bradford documented so much for us to see what they did in order to worship God freely.

Plymouth Colony, 30 July 1623]

By Governor, William Bradford (Plymouth Colony). a Proclamation.

I may not here omit how, notwithstand all their great pains and industry, and the great hopes of a large crop, the Lord seemed to blast, and take away the same, and to threaten further and more sore famine unto them. By a great drought which continued from the third week in May, till about the middle of July, without any rain and with great heat for the most part, insomuch as the corn began to wither away though it was set with fish, the moisture whereof helped it much. Yet at length it began to languish sore, and some of the drier grounds were parched like withered hay, part whereof was never recovered. Upon which they set apart a solemn day of humiliation, to seek the Lord by humble and fervent prayer, in this great distress. And he was pleased to give them a gracious and speedy answer, both to their own and the Indians' admiration that lived amongst them. For all the morning, and the greater part of the day, it was clear weather and very hot, and not a cloud or any sign of rain to be seen; yet toward evening it began to overcast, and shortly after to rain with such sweet and gentle showers as gave them cause of rejoicing and blessing God. It came without either wind or thunder or any violence, and by degrees in that abundance as that the earth was thoroughly wet and soaked and therewith. Which did so apparently revive and quicken the decayed corn and other fruits, as was wonderful to see, and made the Indians astonished to behold. And afterwards the Lord sent to them such seasonable showers, with interchange of fair warm weather as, through His blessing, caused a fruitful and liberal harvest, to their no small comfort and rejoicing. For which mercy, in time convenient, they also set apart a day of thanksgiving."

I know I haven't had any posts, and what has been here hasn't been original, and I have heard from a few of you :)

I can assure you that I have been very busy for the campaign. I passed out hundreds of Voter's guides to churches all over Ohio, including my own, passed out event tickets to the big McCain rally on Halloween, which was a success! I've made calls and talked to a lot of people about the importance of their vote on Election day (or before if possible!)

In short, I hope I made a difference.

I didn't get involved because I like politics, or because I believe in a person (though I am quite partial towards Sarah Palin :)

I truly love this Country, democracy as a whole and our Founding documents which I would include the holy Bible as part of.

I truly love my children and want them to live in peace and prosperity in a FREE Nation where they can speak their minds and serve their God. I fight for them.

For "Life, liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness".
That sums it all up. Pray for the election!

BIG news...giving up has never been an option for me.

Keep it coming...I like the challenge. I'm a LOT stronger than you thought I was. Your underestimation of me is your weakness.
You know who you are, and you can't beat me ;)

Conflict of interest ignored as economy crumbles!

HOMOSEXUAL RELATIONSHIP PART OF ECONOMIC COLLAPSE (Newsmax.com) – Critics are crying "conflict of interest" over Democratic Rep. Barney Frank’s live-in relationship with Fannie Mae executive Herb Moses while Frank was on the House Banking Committee. Moses was Fannie Mae’s assistant director for product initiatives from 1991 to 1998. He was also openly gay Frank’s live-in boyfriend during that time, while the Massachusetts lawmaker was on the committee that had jurisdiction over government-sponsored Fannie Mae, Fox News’ Bill Sammon reported. Now that Fannie Mae is at the center of the recent financial meltdown, the relationship is coming under increased scrutiny. "It’s absolutely a conflict," said Dan Gainor, vice president of the Business & Media Institute. "He was voting on Fannie Mae at a time when he was involved with a Fannie Mae executive. How is that not germane? "But everyone wants to avoid it because he’s gay. It’s the quintessential double standard." A top Republican House aide told Fox News: "He writes housing and banking laws and his boyfriend is a top exec at a firm that stands to gain from those laws? No media ever take note?" Frank and Moses met in 1987 and lived together in Washington, D.C., until they split up in 1998. National Mortgage News disclosed that Moses "helped develop many of Fannie Mae’s affordable housing and home improvement lending programs." Critics charge that such programs led to the mortgage meltdown and the recent government takeover of Fannie Mae, according to Fox News, which noted that Fannie Mae and its financial cousin Freddie Mac "are blamed for spreading bad mortgages throughout the private financial sector." In 1994, Frank thwarted efforts by President Clinton’s Department of Housing and Urban Development to impose new regulations on Fannie Mae.
